The transmission of the virus from pigs to humans is not common and does not always lead to flu, often resulting only in the production of antibodies in the blood; but in case transmission does cause flu, it is called swine flu. People with regular exposure to pigs- people cleaning and dealing with pigs are at increased risk of swine flu infection. Symptoms of the flu are general weakness, chills, fever, sore throat, muscle pain, body pain. The person needs to be isolated for the duration of the flu as it is contagious.
